30-38" tall. Native to the U.S. Towers of bright lavender blooms with spicy citrus scent. An unusual and easy-to-use cut flower. The flowers and leaves are edible. Add petals to salads, sprinkle over mild fish, use in fruit salads, or to garnish desserts and drinks. Flavor is minty and spicy. Leaves (very spicy) are used to flavor salads, cooked foods, and tea. Attracts beneficial insects, bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Also known as lemon bee balm, purple horsemint, and lemon mint.
